01.  What is your typical service area?

We service the Ottawa area including Nepean, Kanata, Barrhaven, Orleans, Stittsville as well as Hull, Gatineau and Aylmer.  We are happy to take on work beyond the Ottawa area, although some travel fees may apply.

02.  What is the cost of commercial real estate photography?

The rates for photography services vary based on the size of the property and the type of content required (photo / virtual tour / drone etc.).  The cost for the most popular listing packages generally range between $200 and $420.   We can provide a complete price list once we know a bit more about your specific listing.

03.  Which areas do you typically photograph for a standard office listing?

It's important to capture the main selling features of the unit - those areas that could help a future tenant visualize their business operating out of the space.  The building exterior, front entrance, lobby, reception, boardrooms, lunchroom, and a mix of office / cubicle areas is a good starting point.  Other areas that are helpful to showcase for an office listing include:  bathrooms, storage spaces, parking lot and any other on-site amenities (gym, shower, outdoor seating / eating areas etc.).

04.  What type of photography services do you recommend for a commercial listing?

A set of high-quality photos is a good starting point for all commercial listings.  A virtual tour is a great option for medium-size office and industrial units.  It provides potential tenants with a better understanding of the unit layout, and comes with room measurements and a set of floor plans.  Drone photos and videos are helpful for highlighting the location of the building in relation to it's surroundings, and can be a great way to capture the size of large industrial properties.  Video reels are a good option for those looking to market their listing on social media.  Regardless of the property type, we will work with you to make that you have the right media content for your listing!

05.  How long does a typical real estate shoot take?

Most shoots can be completed in around 1-2 hours on location.  More complex shoots involving large properties and a combination of drone / video / virtual tours can take up to 4-6 hours on location.

06.  What can I do to prepare the unit ahead of the shoot?

Making sure the unit is clean and tidy will help the property look its best in the listing photos.  For actively occupied units, working with the current tenant to prepare the unit can be helpful.  A pre-shoot walkthrough by the listing agent on the day before the shoot is another good way to make sure the unit is ready for photos and to avoid any un-expected surprises.

07.  What is the standard turnaround time for real estate services?

The typical turnaround time is 1-2 business days for most shoots.  For larger properties or shoots involving virtual tours and drone / video, typical turnaround time is 2-3 business days.

08.  What happens if it rains / snows on the day of the shoot?

Most real estate shoots can proceed in light to moderate rain / snow, since these do not generally affect the quality of the interior photos.  For exterior photos, gloomy skies can be corrected in post production and replaced with bright, vibrant skies.  We check the forecast on the day before the shoot - if heavy rain / snow is forecasted and we feel it will impact the quality of the photos, we will reach out to reschedule the shoot.
