EXPLORING NYC
New York City is a great place to visit, whether you're there for the first time attempting to take in all of the sights, or coming back to enjoy what this incredible metropolis has to offer. Some say that certain places can be visited once, with no need for a second visit to take in all that the destination has to offer. I had the pleasure of visiting NYC on several occasions over the last 5 years and I can say with confidence that New York City is not once of those places. Aside from the word-renoved landmarks such as the Statue of Librery, Empire State Building and Central Park, there is tons of other areas to explore around Manhattan and the other four boroughs.
To showcase some of what New York has to offer, I have compiled a collections of photographs taken during my visits to the City, to illustrate some of my favourite places in New York.

Liberty Island
The iconic Statue of Liberty is located just south-west of Manhattan, on Liberty Island, and is accessibly via a short ferry ride from Battery Park. The lineup for the ferry can be long on most days, and the ferry ride itself tends to be crowded, so it's best to go during off peak hours to avoid the big crowds. Once on the Hudson River, you can enjoy views of the city from the water as you make your way towards Liberty Island.
Once you diembark, you have the opportunity to walk around and explore the island at your own pace and enjoy Lady Liberty from different angles. Those looking for a closer look can also choose to go for a tour inside the statue to podium level and to the crown level of the statue, although these tours need to be booked months in advance to reserve a spot. Other than the monumental statue, the island and the ferry ride provide great vantage points to view the Manhattan Skyline and the nearby Ellis Island.
